Weather Alert — HURRICANE LARRY: The Bermuda Weather Service (http://www.weather.bm) and the National Hurricane Center (NHC) (https://www.nhc.noaa.gov) continue to monitor Hurricane Larry. Per the Bermuda Weather Service, a TROPICAL STORM WARNING is in effect as Larry approaches from the southeast. Expect deteriorating conditions tonight through Thursday with strengthening winds and the increasing likelihood of wet weather. Hazardous swells develop, especially along the South Shore, with dangerous surf and rip currents. Likewise, NHC reports that the center of Larry is forecast to pass east of Bermuda on Thursday, but given Larry’s large size, tropical storm conditions are possible Thursday, along with risk of heavy rainfall and coastal flooding.
Actions to Take: All U.S. citizens living in, visiting, or traveling to Bermuda should monitor local weather reports and follow directions from local officials.
