Event: New COVID-19 Restrictions
As of April 11, 2020, Bermuda’s Ministry of Health has reported 877 active cases of COVID-19 on the island. To mitigate and contain the spread COVID-19, the Government of Bermuda has announced new restrictions.
On Tuesday, April 13, at 5 am, a ‘stay at home’ order will take effect for at least seven days. Only grocery stores, (alphabetical shopping days), pharmacies, and gas stations will be allowed to remain open. Work from home is expected in all other cases except where exempted, such as Emergency Services.
The U.S. Consulate General will only provide emergency consular services over the next seven days. For emergency American Citizen Services, including emergency passports, please email hamiltonconsulate@state.gov. Anyone with questions or concerns may also call the consular section at 441-705-0424 between 8:00 am and 4:30 pm.
U.S. citizens can contact a representative at the Consulate outside of normal business hours, for emergency purposes only, by calling 441-335-3828.
